Talking With the Taliban

In this editorial it is discussed the possibility of persuading the lower-level Taliban leaders to except the basic civil rights in the Afghan Constitution.  The fact that NATO forces may be wanting to pull out could mean more problems in Afghanistan’s future.  It is believed by the US that forces need to stay in order to save Afghanistan now and later.

Bring Back the Woolly Mammoth?

This article talks about the actual possibility that scientist could bring back the Woolly Mammoth due to DNA research.  The dilemma is wether or not the new mammoths will be able to survive in today’s world.  Is the reason they died out still present today? If we create one, should we create more to keep it company?

Salvia Divinorum

I wrote my analytical research paper on a little-known drug, Salvia.  Salvia Divinorum or “Sally-D” is a barely legal hallucinogen currently in the US.  With no proven health threats, I see no problem in keeping it legal.  It has even been said to be used to ween off addicts of harder drugs such as cocaine.  Salvia also holds promising research in the cures for Altszimers Disease.
